Map out a strategy ahead of time to limit adult beverages so as not to embarrass yourself or your partner and if such a slip begins to occur gracefully grab you partner by the arm and exit. If you're a host and notice obnoxious behavior, take the keys, sober him or her up, or get them alternative transportation home and limit the liability.
